(1) For the purpose of section 24 of the Act, senior citizens, helpless senior citizens and disabled senior citizens shall be classified as follows:-
(a) Senior citizens who have not completed seventy years of age,
(b) Senior citizens who have completed seventy years of age,
(c) Destitute Senior Citizens,
(d) Disabled senior citizens,
(e) Single senior citizens. Explanation: For the purpose of this section, "single senior citizen" means widow, widower or unmarried single senior citizen.
(2) Senior citizens classified as per sub-rule (1) may receive allowances or facilities as determined by the Government of Nepal from time to time.
(3) The classification of each senior citizen as per sub-rule (1) shall be determined by the Central Senior Citizens Welfare Committee and the notification thereof shall be publicly published.
